Puppet Theatre

According to the legends of many nations, people came from dolls, which their gods made of various materials, and then spiritualized. It is from here that the ancients' attitude to life comes; they believed that man is only a puppet in the hands of the gods. Even in ancient times, people made dolls in the image and likeness of their own ... Puppet theaters, too, were born at the dawn of mankind.

What to do? Our whole life is a game! And today we play dolls. Fortunately, the latest fashion trends allow us to try on the images of the most popular ones. Yes, that there is far to go. Let's start with this beauty ...

Barbie and her friends

Barbie dolls debuted in 1959 at a toy exhibition in New York. The modest price (only three dollars) provoked a wary reaction from buyers who saw an unmatched toy with a mannequin figure, aspen waist, developed bust, long legs, huge eyes and a fashionable tail of blond hair. It was a real sensation and the beginning of Barbie Mania, which has been going on for decades.

At first, Barbie was a shy - sold in a bathing suit, and outfits for her should be bought separately. However, very soon she probably got the largest wardrobe in the world. Over time, the best fashion designers and jewelers in the world began to work for Barbie. The environment of plastic beauty also grew rapidly.

In 1961, she had a boyfriend Ken, then girlfriend Midge, and in 1964, her sister Skipper. In 1969, in response to racial discrimination, a dark-skinned girlfriend Christie was created for Barbie, and ten years later, Barbie herself began to be made in the guise of an African American and Latino. In 1997, the first Russian Barbie in a national costume and an elegant kokoshnik left the assembly line.

So, we select outfits for evening outings, shopping trips, horseback riding and tea parties with friends in the Barbie style. Fortunately, there are a great many of them in the designer collections of the spring-summer 2011 season!

Russian doll

The exact history of the origin of the Russian doll is unknown. There is an assumption that the Russian doll has Japanese roots. It is said that in the nineties of the 19th century A. Mamontov brought the figure of the good-natured bald old sage Fukurum from Japan to the Moscow toy workshop "Child Education". She represented several figures enclosed one into another. Turner Vasily Zvezdochkin, who worked in this workshop in the 1890s, carved similar figures from a tree, which were also nested in one another, and the artist Sergey Malyutin painted them for girls and boys.

The toy consisted of eight figures. The image of the girl alternated with the image of the boy, differing from each other. The latter depicted a swaddled baby. The female name Matrena was then widespread in Russia.

Hence the name of the doll - "nesting doll". In 1900, M. A. Mamontova, the wife of S. I. Mamontov, presented dolls at the World Exhibition in Paris, where they earned a bronze medal. In 1970, at the Expo 70 exhibition in Tokyo, the largest doll ever made was presented: 72-seat!

Modern fashionable variations on the theme of “Russian nesting dolls” are multi-layered sundresses, vibrant embroideries, voluminous silhouettes, long dresses and skirts, colorful shawls, floral prints and large accessories: beads, earrings, bracelets.

Japanese doll

Japan is called the "country of ten thousand dolls." The Japanese believe in the ability of dolls to bring people good, to avert evil forces, diseases, natural disasters, to protect peace and quiet in the house. There is also a tradition of celebrating Hina Matsuri or the “Puppet Festival” every March 3. On this day, girls put on display special puppets transmitted by many families from generation to generation. Puppets of the emperor and empress in ceremonial robes are placed at the very top of the screen. They can sit on special platforms or stand. On the second step there are three court ladies, below - two ministers, musicians, servants, as well as miniature objects from the palace households - palanquins, carts, furniture, lacquer ware, caskets - what is called "toy utensils for dolls". Traditional Japanese dolls are not designed for games, their owners believe that each doll has an individual character, like a person.

Now we, like Japanese dolls, are choosing outfits that can give us a resemblance to the ceremonial robes of emperors or, at least, ministers. Thick silk, laconic cut lines, bright and rich colors, lacquer touches in accessories, gold embroideries, brushes and traditional shoes - open sandals on massive wooden platform heels. Maybe even manage to learn how to walk and stay like real Japanese geisha?

African figurine

The art of woodcarving allows the people of Africa to depict everything that they see around them. Ebony (black rosewood) since ancient Egypt was considered a jewel, along with gold and ivory.

Durability, extremely hardness for wood and the ability to polish to a mirror shine distinguish it from all others. It symbolizes eternal love, therefore, in Africa there are many traditions associated with amulets and ebony statuettes. African sculpture is characterized by relative naturalism, the absence of fantastic elements, the tendency to maintain proportions close to natural.

Subtle and graceful silhouettes, traditional for African figurines, can be seen today in the most fashionable spring-summer trends. Here are “animal” prints that have not left the podium for several seasons, and all the colors of the African savannah - from terracotta to sand, khaki, gray, yellow and sky blue, and numerous accessories from large wooden, bone and stone beads, leather, bird feathers, and fancy hats in the shape of turban. This is Africa!

Small dolls and dolls

Of course, all the girls in the world play dolls. The very first doll for a baby, as a rule, becomes a bobblehead, which is so similar to her future brother or sister. She nurses a baby doll and rolls him in a stroller, arranges tea parties and dinners for all her dolls, can choose her favorite house for her pets and furnish him with all kinds of toy furniture, and also dresses and combes her baby dolls and dolls endlessly ...

Who prevents us from dressing up our kids? Children's collections of clothes and shoes allow us, adults, to turn our children into real dolls. Natural fabrics, a variety of colors, comfortable and beautiful models of children's clothing allow kids to jump, run and play for fun. Light summer shoes - moccasins, shoes, sandals, as well as elegant accessories - panamas, caps, belts, beads, hair bands, and much more will add joy to every little fashionista or fashionista. After all, they are so eager to become like mom and dad.

Give the moorings!

Well, now, it seems, has everyone played enough? Well no. Forgot about the boys! But they also love to play - soldiers and sailors. Go to sea, perhaps the time is right! On what? On a yacht, sports boat or cruise ship. It all depends on the budget. And the baggage collection for travel will directly depend on the chosen route. In one case, it will be sports-type light trousers and polo shirts, sweaters made of cotton yarn, moccasins or soft shoes.

In another, for example, a linen formal suit, shirts and ties, classic summer shoes, and only then shorts and t-shirts, sandals and caps. This is for boys, youths and men. Girls should take a closer look at light dresses, soft knitwear - pullovers, tunics, cardigans, comfortable trousers, soft ballet shoes or sandals with cork, chic wide-brimmed hats and various accessories - scarves (at least tie a head, even on the neck or around the waist, in the form of a sarong) and sunglasses. Take off?
