A taxi service for women and children will begin to operate in the capital of the UAE, the city of Abu Dhabi, at the end of March this year. All cars of the new service will be painted in the color of lavender, and their roofs - in pink. The rooftop logo of TransAD Transport Corporation will also be pink. A TransAD spokesperson indicated that the female taxi cars will have an unusual shape, but did not provide details.
The machines will be equipped with new meters, which will automatically fine the driver for exceeding the maximum permissible speed limit and refusing to complete the passenger boarding order. At the first stage, the female taxi service fleet will include 70 cars, 10 cars from each transport contractor company, which provides services in partnership with TransAD Corporation. The management of "lavender" taxis is entrusted to women by drivers with extensive driving experience, who are now undergoing additional training.
It will be possible to order a female taxi from the end of March by calling 600535353. The fare in a “lavender” taxi will be the same as in a regular city taxi. Female taxi services currently operate in Dubai, Beirut, Tehran, Damascus and Kuwait.
