Draw me music

This day was ordinary, the same as everyone else. But for some reason, on February 16, 2010, the winter weekdays of the small Bavarian town of Starnberg noticeably revived. And all because a group of schoolchildren from the UAE arrived in Germany. Eighteen gifted children from the Russian music center of Sharjah under the guidance of their teachers - professors Svetlana Tarakanova and Olga Kovalenko, doctors Tatyana Tarakanova for 12 days pleased Europeans with their piano art. In exchange, the hospitable Germans gave the children not only smiles and applause, but also the unique charm of Germany.

As last year, the trip of young musicians from the Emirates to Europe was supported by Europa - Studien Projekt from Zwickau. ESP Director Ms. C. Tse noted: “The main goal of our project is to create close international contacts based on educational programs in two areas: learning German and country studies. More than a hundred children and student groups from Russia, Kazakhstan and Japan have already become participants in our project. And now we have the opportunity to expand our horizons: now we are ready to introduce everyone to the music and art of Germany, which has become possible in many respects thanks to our cooperation with the Russian Musical the center of Sharjah. "

During their first trip (in February 2009 - Ed.), The students of the Sharjah Russian Music Center were able to fully feel the exciting air of Germany, hear the sound of German classical music in its homeland, and they themselves tried to touch the keys of the German Bluthner grand pianos and Steinway. At the same time, they recorded a disc at one of the best recording studios in Saxony, “Tam-Tam Records”. Then it became absolutely clear: the project will develop. Already in the fall of 2009, a group of artists from RMC went to Germany, with whom the famous Munich artist Paul Torsten Khan worked and conducted master classes. “An artist needs to be able to feel. You won’t say that you can only feel with your eyes? Try to draw, without looking, with your eyes closed. Hearing color, drawing sound - is this possible? Of course!”

These words of Paul Torsten Khan formed the basis of a new unprecedented action, which took place in February 2010. After the young musicians tasted success “in taste” during a concert in Austria and recorded their second studio disc, they set about preparing an incredible dialogue of music and painting. To help them came students from the gymnasium. Clara Wick of the city of Zwickau. For three days, students from RMC and gymnasium. Clara Wieck communicated through the language of art. Each sound turned into a line, each chord was complemented by a harmony of colors. An absolutely incredible atmosphere reigned in the hall, piercing with some mystical connection of sounds and colors.

On the last day of this unique performance, pianists presented to the German public an hour and a half program, which included works by Russian and foreign composers. To all participants in the project, the audience applauded while standing.

"We thought that we would just introduce the guys to musical sights, put them in a couple of museums, but we certainly did not expect such a level of play. What we do with the team of the Russian Music Center from Sharjah is always fraught with great discoveries," ESP Chief Coordinator Mr. R. Leibelt shared his impressions.

Today, the skill of young pianists and their friends of gymnasium artists is not even able to share the distance. Paintings from the rally last February were exhibited at the Zwickau State Art Collection, and classical music performed by students of the Russian Musical Center from the UAE plays in this room with this exposition.
