Dubai Dolphinarium has more artists

The trio of dolphins from the Dubai Dolphinarium was replenished with four new artists who arrived from Japan. Beginners will go through adaptation and train to participate in the show, so that after a few months to appear before the public.

Four new dolphins - a 15-year-old girl named Aunt, her age-mate Thekla, 7-year-old Bubbles and 5-year-old boy Jerry, like the old residents of the Dubai Dolphinarium, belong to the bottlenose dolphin family, also known as bottlenose dolphins.

They were purchased in one of the aquariums in Japan and arrived in Dubai in early October 2008. After passing the quarantine, dolphins reached their destination, where for some time they would get used to the permanent residents of the dolphinarium, immigrants from Ukraine - 22-year-old Sena, 20-year-old Ksenia and 16-year-old Martha, who successfully performed in the show.

Unlike their Black Sea counterparts from Ukraine, who grew up in captivity, dolphins from Japan were once free inhabitants of the Pacific Ocean, but at the time of acquisition each of them was kept in the aquarium for at least a year. Recall that the Dubai Dolphinarium, opened in May last year, located in the Creek Park near Dubai Bay, gives performances three times a day.
