Dubai sets new world record - tallest chocolate sculpture

The tallest chocolate figure in the world was made in Dubai - a copy of the Burj Khalifa skyscraper.

Dubai has pleased all the sweet tooth of the world with a new record. The highest chocolate sculpture in the world was made in the city. This achievement was awarded a record in the Guinness Book of Records.

The highest chocolate sculpture on earth - 13.52 m, it is a copy of the famous skyscraper Burj Khalifa. The author of this confectionery and architectural masterpiece was the citizen of Malta Andrew Faruga. The sculpture was presented at Dubai International Airport on November 27, 2014.

Initially, it was planned that the height of the sculpture would be 17 m. 5200 kg of Belgian chocolate was required to make the tower. To build a skyscraper, chocolate was cut into 10,000 pieces, which later served as the building materials of the chocolate building. Preparatory work was carried out in Malta, in the workshop of Faruj, and then delivered to Dubai in a refrigerator. Unfortunately, due to thawing and changing the shape of the chocolate, the architect was not able to reach the intended height. But even so, he turned out to be a real masterpiece!
