CELEBRATING INDEPENDENCE DAY OF UKRAINE IN THE UAE

On September 4, 2007, in the hall of the InterContinental Abu-Dhabi hotel, the Embassy of Ukraine in the UAE organized a gala reception to mark the 16th anniversary of Independence Day of Ukraine, which is annually celebrated on August 24. Among the invited guests were ministers and senior officials of the UAE, heads and representatives of foreign diplomatic missions in the UAE, Ukrainian businessmen, their foreign colleagues, and representatives of local and international press.
On behalf of and on behalf of the Ambassador of Ukraine to the UAE, Sergey Pasko, welcoming speeches were made by the head of the diplomatic mission of Ukraine in the UAE, Andrey Melnyk, emphasizing the significant successes Ukraine has achieved over the past year in various fields, including in establishing close bilateral cooperation with the UAE.
After the anthems of Ukraine and the UAE were no longer heard, a huge yellow-blue cake with the symbols of the Ukrainian state was applauded by His Highness Sheikh Nakhayan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, UAE Minister of Higher Education and Science, Andriy Melnyk, head of the Ukrainian diplomatic mission in the UAE , and Bishop Paul Hinder, papal vicar in Arabia.
