Serious traffic jams expected on Dubai roads today

The traffic flow in Dubai today will be difficult due to the air show.

The Dubai Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) warns of serious traffic difficulties on the emirate’s roads leading to Al Maktoum International Airport and offers motorists to use alternative routes or use public transport. The main reason is the holding of Dubai Airshow 2017, which opens today, Sunday, November 12, and ends on Thursday, November 16.

During the entire period of the show from 7:00 to 18:00, the RTA expects traffic jams on the specified route. To avoid congestion on Emirates Road, Mohammed Bin Zayed Road, Jebel Ali Lehbab are invited to use Sheikh Zayed Road and Al Yalayis Street.

The RTA also encourages motorists not to leave their cars near the Dubai Airshow 2017 venue at Emirates Road, Sheikh Mohammed Bin Zayed Road and Jebel Ali Lehbab to ensure safety throughout the event and not block access to police, ambulance and civil defense vehicles. It is recommended that you park your car in the Palm Jumeirah Monorail parking lot. Buses will run from Ibn Battuta Station to the airport.

The RTA also encourages visitors to Dubai Airshow to maintain speed limits near Al Maktoum International Airport.

Meanwhile, a series of crashes have already occurred on Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Road and Emirates Road in the direction of Dubai, which caused additional traffic congestion.
