Dubai fines can now be paid using Apple Pay

Payment of road fines in Dubai will be possible using smartphones and Apple Pay.

The Dubai Police Department of Artificial Intelligence has updated a smart platform to pay road fines. Now you can deposit the required amount using the Apple Pay function for smartphones in all service centers and at smart police stations.

Khalid Nasser Al-Razzuki, director general of the Department of Artificial Intelligence at Dubai Police, said residents can use this feature with their iPhone. Apple Pay is available to all credit card holders of any of these six UAE banks: Mashreq, Emirates NBD, Emirates Islamic, RAK Bank, HSBC or Standard Chartered.

Dubai police recently opened their first smart station in City Walk. More stations are expected to appear in Media City, Dubai Design District (d3) and Dubai Academic City.

Al-Razzuki noted that the new feature allows customers to reduce several steps in the implementation of electronic payment.
