The crew of Emirates Airlines was forced to pacify the elderly passenger because of his behavior on the Dubai-Chicago flight.
A 74-year-old passenger traveling from Dubai to Chicago on an Emirates EK235 flight on Tuesday was pacified by the crew and handed over to authorities at O'Hare International Airport after he made a brawl on board.
The passenger was reportedly injured in the wrist at the time of detention.
It is known that a man arrived in Dubai from Nigeria before heading to Chicago.
Emirates spokesman confirmed passenger detention information for the Khaleej Times.
"The safety of our passengers and crew is of the utmost importance, and we are not ready to jeopardize it," the representative of the airline said.
