Dubai has published ambulance rates

An ambulance financing program has been launched in Dubai, within the framework of which tariffs for the provision of medical services were published the day before.

Dubai Ambulance Services (DCAS) is launching a financing program to cover basic operating expenses, introducing a series of fees from AED 600 to 1200 for emergency assistance. The relevant law was approved by Sheikh Hamdan Ibn Mohammed Ibn Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and Chairman of the Executive Council of Dubai.

For the provision of emergency medical assistance in road accidents, as a result of which serious medical injuries were received, or the victim died, a rate of 6770 dirhams was established.

A basic fee of 600 dirhams will be charged for the provision of medical care at the scene without transporting the victim. With additional transportation to the nearest hospital, such a service will cost 800 dirhams.

The cost of services of the first and second outpatient level will vary from 1000 to 1200 dirhams.

The cost of outpatient services is covered by the patient's insurance company.

The adopted resolution also contains a list of fees for the organization of training in providing emergency assistance for private companies, the cost of such services ranges from 400 to 2150 dirhams. For example, fire fighting training is included in such services when transportation assistance is required.

The fees do not apply to the provision of emergency medical care in road traffic accidents.

These measures are fully consistent with the system of fees and duties enshrined in Executive Council Resolution No. 2 of 2016, according to which the police and ambulance of Dubai may levy a charge of AED 6,770. These funds are payable by the insurance company or by the guilty party as compensation for the transportation of injured persons or corpses in a traffic accident.
