The authorities of Abu Dhabi provide a discount on fines for traffic violations in certain regions of the emirate.
In the Emirate of Abu Dhabi, road fines and fines for violating parking rules have been reduced by 25%.
The reduction applies only to violations committed in Al Ain and Al Dafra. The reduction does not apply to other territories.
However, the Abu Dhabi Transport and Patrol Administration provided for some procedure that must be followed in order to send a court request for a reduction in the fine.
Firstly, you will need to personally visit the Consumer Service Center in the Abu Dhabi Police, taking with you an identity card, a driver’s license and a car registration certificate, and then go to the Fines Department.
Employees of the department will print out a list of fines you have not paid and will offer you to fill out a form of appeal to court.
The next day, head to the main building of the Abu Dhabi Transport and Patrol Office and make sure that your application has been received.
Then transfer the papers to the Transport Court Division. Having paid the fine at a discount, take the receipt to the police - the employees will record the payment.
