A beggar tourist with a monthly income of 100 thousand dirhams was arrested in Dubai.

"Most beggars are here on business visas, others are brought by travel agencies that are required to check their status. If the beggar used the services of a travel agency, she will be fined 2,000 dirhams, if the violation repeats, she will be added to the black list," the team leader Abdel Al Hashmi recalled , director of police stations.

He also said that beggars are stepping up their activities during Ramadan, primarily in markets, in residential areas, in parking lots and near mosques. Often they cause pity for people, involving small children and even infants in the criminal activity.

Last year, 243 beggars were arrested. That is why the police launched a new series of raids "Together Against Beggars". Anyone who spotted them on the streets should report to the police by phone 901.
