The international exhibition of furniture, interior and design International Design Exhibition 2018 (INDEX 2018) will be held in Dubai from March 26 to 29. Side events - Workplace Design Exhibition WORKSPACE and SURFACE Design Middle East.
The exhibition is useful for architects and designers who create world-class interiors for large residential premises, commercial, hotel, educational and medical projects. Upholstery materials and fabrics from manufacturers, finishing materials will also be presented.
Samantha Kane-MacDonald, director of the exhibition, said: “INDEX is an expression of design: a personality that is illustrated by interiors. This March, the exhibition will bring together more than 600 exhibitors who will present all the necessary knowledge and products necessary to give an exclusive look to any space "
The INDEX Design Festival kicks off on March 26 and will last four days, during which participants and visitors will be offered a varied and creative dialogue between furniture and decor suppliers, interior designers, an extensive conference schedule, as well as individual demonstrations and presentations.
For the first time, the Ventura Dubai project will be implemented at the exhibition, representing a company of 40 well-known and promising European designers, labels and studios carefully selected for their debut in the Middle East. Dubai follows the European trends of Milan, London, Berlin and New York and will host one of the world-famous collections of designers.
Another new section - "Made in the UAE" - will put together a collection of artisans: glassblowers, upholsters, furniture manufacturers with leading regional architects and design geniuses.
Well-known industry experts such as Justin Wells, Indu Varanasi, Christian Meriu, Maliha Nishat, and Paul Bishop will perform as part of the Design Talks sponsored OFIS business program. Leading industry trends will be discussed. In addition, the famous architect Joe Hamilton will take part in the exhibition.
Samantha Kane-MacDonald notes that the identity of the consumer - his beliefs, emotions and ambitions, is central to design today. Decor and interior reflects the personality of the one who owns the space, and he, in turn, is becoming more and more involved in the creative process.
It should be noted that, starting in 2018, the INDEX exhibition will be held twice a year: the next will be held in September, in parallel with The Hotel Show.
