Editor's word

Once upon a time, studying the history of the development of ancient civilizations, I was surprised that the gods of the first Sumerian civilization on earth lived 3600 years, so for people, of course, seemed immortal. As the Mesopotamian tables say, and in particular the Epic of Gilgamesh, these gods never consumed earthly food and water. Why? The answer was also recorded on stone slabs - from earthly food, they were aging and dying, like ordinary people. Instead, they ate their cereals and drinks, the names of which were kept in the strictest confidence. Then the gods chose to leave our land, but humanity continues to search for the very divine nectar and ragweed, which grant immortality. And I must say, very successful in this. Progress does not stand still, and with each century we live longer. In the Middle Ages, life expectancy was 30 years, today it can reach almost a 100-year milestone. And just recently, scientists announced that we could very well live up to 150 years, and within the next couple of years, drugs (which are currently undergoing clinical trials) will become available that will double our earthly path. Naturally, it caused such a powerful response in the hearts of people around the world that today, it seems, before our eyes a new religion is being born for the initiates - anti-age. Live long while healthy and young? Can anyone be against it? In theory, of course, you can live long and remain full of energy. But for practical implementation, a reasonable and competent body control, motivation, harmony in relations with the world and surrounding people are necessary. Of course, much remains to be passed and tested, but much has already been discovered, tested and gives good results. And everyone needs to know this. That is why in this issue we devoted the whole section to the topic Antiage, which I advise you to pay attention to.

We live in an interesting time when almost every month scientific discoveries are announced and funds appear that allow us to remain young. But the gold standard for prolonging life today is still low-calorie nutrition. In experiments in mammals (to which we humans are related), by limiting nutrition, it was possible to achieve an extension of life of up to 40%. Well, how can one not recall the Sumerian gods, categorically avoiding any earthly delicacies?
