Falcon pose

OFTEN, WHEN ANCIENT TRADITIONS ENTER THE NEW ERA OF LUXURY, ORIGINAL EYE-DESIGNING PRODUCTS ARE BORN ON TWO WORLDS.

This is exactly how the Posa project, created by Italian designer Massimo Fion for the Middle Eastern contemporary art gallery Carwan, can be described. A series of perches and pedestals for pets, whose cost can reach tens of thousands of dollars, was made of precious materials, namely silver, gold, marble, brass and special types of wood.

Objects, which, given the scope, can hardly be called interior, pay tribute to the Emirate tradition of falconry - the favorite pastime of the local aristocracy and representatives of royal families. Volumes and shapes of perches are adapted to the anatomical needs of winged predators, aesthetics - to the refined taste of their owners.

The Carwan Gallery, founded in 2010 by architects Nicholas Bellavans-Lecompom and Pascal Wakim, titled itself the first gallery of modern interior design in the Middle East. It takes its name from the traditional "caravanserai" - the place where wanderers stop on their way during a long journey through the desert.
