Hotel St. Regis Dubai at Al Habtoor City has announced the launch of the Sir Winston Churchill Suite. The formal ceremony of the two-story suite was held in the presence of Mr. Randolph Churchill, the great-grandson of a statesman, writer, speaker and prime minister of Great Britain, and Halaf Ahmad al Habtur, chairman of Al Habtoor Group.
1513 paintings and other works of art from Churchill's personal archives provided by Churchill Heritage Ltd, including portraits and photographs of a politician, paintings by himself, as well as one exhibit from Halaf al's private collection, are exhibited in a 913-square-meter three-bedroom suite. Habtura is a well-preserved Cuban cigar, once owned by the British Prime Minister. Churchill maintained strong ties with the countries of the Middle East and was the initiator of the creation of the Department of the Middle East at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
