Despite the sandstorm, on the penultimate Saturday of February, the annual Cartier International Dubai Polo Challenge took place at the Desert Palm Resort, which was held under the patronage of Princess Haya Bint Al Hussein, the wife of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Prime Minister, Vice President UAE and ruler of Dubai.
The Desert Palm team defeated the UAE Polo Team with a score of 10-4. This year the tournament celebrates its tenth anniversary. In the royal box next to the princess is Lauren Gabarit, managing director of Cartier in the Middle East and India, the owner of Dubai Polo Country Club Ali Albvardi and the American model Olivia Palermo. Everything was at the highest level - competition, athletes and energy, which was charged with the event.
