New safari park will open in Dubai before the end of the year

A new giant safari park will be opened in Dubai, in the Al Warqa area, at the end of 2014, according to the Dubai municipality. "The park covers an area of 119 hectares. It will include a safari village, traditional Arab, Asian and African villages, as well as a butterfly park, a botanical garden, a tourist resort, a golf club and a veterinary clinic," said the representative of the municipality.

In the new, environmentally friendly conditions, more than 1000 animals and birds will find a new home, which will be moved from the existing zoo in Jumeirah. It is planned that entertainment systems and all vehicles will operate in the park on solar energy. It is worth recalling that the existing zoo in Dubai was opened in 1965, it occupies only 1.5 hectares of territory.
