Following the Lamborghini, Ferrari sports cars will patrol the streets of Dubai

Luxury Ferrari sports cars will replenish the Dubai police fleet. Cars worth about 2 million dirhams each (US $ 546 thousand) began patrolling the streets of the emirate.

According to Lieutenant General Dahi Halfan Tamim, head of the Dubai Police, Dubai is a unique city and everything that is in it should reflect its exclusivity, which is why Ferrari cars were purchased for the needs of the department. Only a few law enforcement agencies in the world have such sports cars available, the police chief explained.

He also said that the police had already received positive feedback from the public after the fashionable Lamborghini race cars entered service: today they patrol the Downtown Dubai area, in the vicinity of the Burj Khalifa skyscraper - the tallest building in the world. "Ferrari will be used to ensure road safety in different areas of Dubai," said Dahi Halfan Tamim.

The head of police also noted that the police are constantly working on updating the fleet in order to meet high international standards and have the latest technical achievements.
