Dubai Tram will start running in November 2014

The Dubai Tram, which links the Dubai Marina and Nakheel districts, will begin operations in November 2014. According to the Dubai Agency for Railway Transport's Committee on Roads and Transport, the tram will make 11 stops along the way.

Currently, the readiness of the project is estimated at 50%. After its completion, the load on the road network will be reduced in the area and harmful environmental impacts will be reduced, which will also become an incentive for the economic development of Dubai. By the way, another factor of growth is the increase in real estate prices in the emirate by 20% in recent years, while Dubai Marina remains one of the most prestigious places to stay. "Our long-term goal is to reduce accident rates on roads and make traffic safe, as well as transfer people, if possible, to public transport from personal cars," said Adnan Al Hammadi, chief executive officer of the agency.
