Sapphire concept Horological Machine No2-SV

The MB&F concept art and microengineering laboratory presents the exclusive Horological Machine No2-SV model in a case made of wide and completely transparent sapphire crystal with a titanium case back. This model is a high-tech watch of the 21st century, while the quality of its hand-made finish corresponds to the best traditions of watchmaking.

Thanks to the delicate and skillful work, light rays freely penetrate the sapphire case, forcing carefully polished surfaces and manually crafted edges to play, reviving a rich combination of colors, materials, shapes and textures. Thanks to its completely transparent case, the HM2-SV for the first time opens up wide visual access to the mechanism responsible for the readings of two dials characteristic of the brand, out of 349 parts with careful manual processing.

The mechanism, developed by the owner of many professional awards by watchmaker Jean-Marc Wiederrecht, is the first automatic winding movement in the world that combines an instantly jumping hour, a concentric retrograde minute indicator, a retrograde date and a moon phase indicator with two hemispheres. The frequency of oscillation of the balance is 28,800 vibrations per hour.

The thickness of the sapphire crystal is 3.6 mm, which seems surprising, since it usually remains invisible. Thanks to the bilateral anti-glare treatment, which in itself is a considerable achievement because of its uniformity, the case becomes almost invisible and allows you to fully enjoy observing an infinite number of subtle nuances that distinguish a complex mechanism.

Hand-sewn, the black strap is made of crocodile leather with a specially made folding clasp made of white gold 750 and titanium.

The Horological Machine No2-SV is available in a limited edition of 25 pieces.
