Signposts with a new name for the world's tallest tower appeared on the roads of Dubai

The first signs with the new name for the world's tallest structure, the Caliph Towers, formerly known as the Dubai Tower, appeared on the roads of Dubai.

Two new signs are installed in the immediate vicinity of the tower: on the highway to them. Sheikh Zayed and on the Al-Wasl highway in the direction of the first traffic intersection. Unlike city direction signs, blue shields, the signs for the Burj Khalifa Tower are brown in color, used to indicate sights.

The Dubai Roads and Transport Committee (RTA), which had previously set dozens of signs for the Burj Dubai Tower, plans to completely replace them with new ones by early March. Most likely, the metro station next to the tower, which is now called the “Burj Dubai / Dubai Mall”, will also be renamed.

Recall that on January 4, the day the highest structure of the world was opened, the ruler of Dubai, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al-Maktoum, announced that the structure would henceforth be called the “Tower of the Caliph” (“Burj Khalifa”). From the very beginning of the construction of the tower in 2004 until the opening, it was known as the “Tower of Dubai”. The general developer of the tower, the Dubai-based company Emaar Properties, will soon unveil a rebranding plan for the world's tallest structure.
