Dubai Customs prepares for New Year's rush at the emirate's airports

Dubai is set to receive hundreds of thousands of passengers during the holiday season.

As the New Year approaches, Dubai Customs prepares to deal with the influx of passengers at Dubai airports during the holiday season.

The Dubai Customs Passenger Services Department has taken all measures necessary to facilitate the movement of passengers and tourists arriving in Dubai.

The staff at terminals 1, 2 and 3 of Dubai International Airport and Al Maktoum Airport is ready to do everything possible to ensure that all visitors arriving in Dubai to celebrate the New Year receive only pleasant impressions from the very first minutes of their stay in the city.

For this, the service provides an expedited procedure for customs clearance of passengers and their baggage. Customs officials in Dubai are also particularly vigilant to ensure security and enhanced protection.

Khalid Ahmad, the acting director of passenger services, said that this season, like other periods of increased passenger traffic, the customs attracted additional employees to work in large terminals.

“This will provide visitors and tourists with a good first impression of Dubai as a world-class travel and tourism hub,” he said.

According to HotelsCombined.com, a leading hotel price comparison site, Dubai is the most popular destination for travelers from the Gulf region this holiday season. Thanks to this, most hotels in the emirate were able to fill their rooms with guests by almost 90%.
