The first detachment of service dogs appeared in the UAE

The first squad of service dogs began working in the port of Ras Al Daha in the UAE.

Dubai, UAE. The first experimental detachment of service dogs entered service in the port of Ras Al Daha in the emirate of Ras Al Khaimah, the UAE Federal Customs Administration said. Detachment K9 will be stationed in the emirate of Umm al-Quwain and will be “tested” at customs points.

In the next few weeks, dogs will have to prove the effectiveness of their work in finding prohibited substances, including narcotic and explosive ones. In the future, it is planned that dogs will work in ports throughout the country, and the number of four-legged helpers will increase. Currently, the squad includes 4 dog handlers and 4 dogs.
