Dubai police awarded a taxi driver who returned the family forgotten in his car 20 thousand dollars.
A solemn rewarding of a Pakistani-born taxi driver Shafafet Khan Abdullarashid was held at the Dubai police headquarters, who returned the 21 thousand dollars in cash, a mobile phone and passports, forgotten by his passengers in the car.
Said Hamad bin Suleiman al-Malek, the head of the police station, thanked the driver on behalf of the entire department and praised his action.
In recognition of his honesty, Shafet was awarded an honorary diploma and a symbolic gift.
The award was also attended by a family from Denmark, who expressed gratitude to the Dubai police and an honest taxi driver for returning valuable items to them.
